Getting THERE

The start of the EDP Lisbon Marathon 2026 will take place at Estrada N6-7 in Carcavelos.

For participants coming from Lisbon, the organization recommends taking the CP train from Cais do Sodré to Carcavelos. The train from Cais do Sodré takes about 30 minutes to reach Carcavelos station.

Participants staying in the Cascais area can take the CP train on the Cascais line towards Carcavelos. The train from Cascais takes about 25 minutes to reach Carcavelos station.

Closer to the race date, the promoter will share transport schedules and more detailed information.

The Carcavelos train station is located approximately 1 km from the starting point.

Public transportation (trains, buses, and subway) will be free for all runners from 05:30 am until 5:00 pm.

Race day tips

The best way to reach the start line is by train. Please check the station locations and timetables in advance, and follow the organization’s recommendations to ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival.

Do not wait for the last trains. There are more than enough trains to accommodate all participants, but if everyone waits until the last departures, overcrowding may prevent you from arriving on time.

There will be 12 aid stations, 14 WC areas, 6 music stages and 3 cooling stations along the course to ensure runners have everything they need to perform at their best.

Listen to your body during the race. If you experience any discomfort, slow down, cool off, and, if necessary, seek assistance from the medical staff positioned along the course. Your health always comes first.

After crossing the finish line, please keep moving. Do not stop directly at the line. Proceed to the finish area, collect your well-deserved medal, and enjoy the refreshments and entertainment prepared by the organization.
